About the Role
Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Human Resources Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time, non-management position, offering an opportunity for individuals with 0-1 year of experience to launch their HR career within a prestigious global hospitality brand. The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the management and leadership team by assisting with various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to a positive employee experience.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist and support management and the leadership team in addressing and resolving HR issues.
- Provide assistance to employees regarding internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
- Monitor and assist managers and supervisors with recruitment processes and related issues.
- Coordinate and conduct applicant drug screenings, reference checks, background checks, MVR checks, and social security number verification.
- Maintain records for applicant flow, drug screenings, orientation sessions, and transfer requests.
- Create and maintain new hire and employee files, ensuring accurate entry into HRIS systems.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new employees.
- Monitor all recruitment and selection processes to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies and standards.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files, including interview documentation and I-9 forms.
- Support the processing and maintenance of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures, as needed.
- Inform HR management of issues concerning employee relations within the department or facility.
- Create and maintain organized filing systems.
- Generate HR data reports as needed.
- Answer telephone calls and take accurate messages.
- Create and write office correspondence using computer software.
- Serve as an HR subject matter expert and participate in project teams.
- Train new employees on HR systems, processes, policies, and information.
- Follow all company policies and procedures accurately.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times.
- Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Speak to others using clear and professional language.
- Prepare and review written documentation accurately and completely.
- Answer the phones using appropriate etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Support the team in achieving common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
