Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and direct subcontractor activities through coordination and instruction of their management staff within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Review and monitor subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
  • Approve, where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
  • Lead the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure alignment with overall established project schedules.
  • Monitor the installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor requirements, and other project stipulations.
  • Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
  • Collaborate with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
  • Coordinate engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Foremen, and Craft Professionals.
  • Coordinate with the Design team on constructability issues.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, OR 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
  • Extensive experience managing Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) scope in large mineral processing plants.
  • Previous experience on gold processing plants.
  • Previous experience in mining & metals processing plants within the MENA region.
  • Extensive experience working with High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) equipment, cabling, and terminations.
  • Extensive experience in the pre-commissioning of HV/MV installations and large mineral processing plants.
