The general objective of the job:Ensuring the provision of materials, equipment, and technical services necessary for projects with the highest quality, on time, and within budget, while considering the technical specifications and contract terms.
Tasks and Responsibilities:- Planning and Follow-up:
Analyze project needs for materials and equipment in coordination with engineers and project managers. Prepare a timeline procurement plan according to the project schedule. Prepare and implement tracking tables for the status of requests and procurements (Procurement Logs). - Preparing Purchase Requests (PRs):
Review the purchase requests received from projects. Ensure clarity of quantities and required technical specifications before starting the purchasing process. - Communicating with Suppliers and Manufacturers:
Search for qualified local and international suppliers with experience in the Saudi market. Send requests for quotations (RFQs) and compare prices. - Negotiation and Contracts:
Negotiate the best commercial and technical terms. Prepare and review supply contracts. - Issuing Purchase Orders (POs):
Prepare purchase orders, approve them from the relevant management, and send the orders to suppliers. - Follow-up on Supply and Delivery:
Monitor delivery schedules and ensure compliance with deadlines. - Quality and Technical Compliance:
Coordinate the technical inspection of received materials and ensure that the materials comply with the specifications. - Technical Support and Reporting:
Provide periodic reports on the status of procurements for each project. - Improving and Developing Processes:
Participate in evaluating supplier performance and improving the supplier and manufacturer databases.
Required Skills:- Good knowledge of construction materials and engineering equipment and an understanding of technical specifications and plans.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using procurement management software.
