This full-time position is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production lines. The Material Handler will support line flow and shop floor execution by maintaining standard work-in-progress (STD WIP) levels, ensuring precise component placement, and facilitating material movement in alignment with production flow requirements. This role is integral to maintaining production continuity, visual control, single-piece flow, and adherence to standard work, ensuring operators have necessary materials readily available.
The Material Handler will also monitor line performance against takt and cycle time expectations, track piece movement post-takt completion, and identify and escalate production abnormalities. A strong understanding of the overall line process and engagement with operator playbooks are expected to support seamless execution, process discipline, and optimal operational performance, contributing to GE Vernova's commitment to Lean implementation.

- Track the movement of pieces once takt time is completed to ensure proper part flow and timely progression between workstations.
- Monitor material flow and overall line status to proactively support production readiness and maintain process continuity.
- Highlight and communicate issues when cycle time exceeds takt time, escalating any abnormalities that may negatively impact line performance.
- Support and monitor the line's adherence to Standard Work and Standard Work Combination Sheets across all workstations.
- Maintain a comprehensive awareness of the overall line process to effectively support proper part movement and line coordination.
- Coordinate closely with operators and supervisors to ensure the correct materials are available at the right workstation at the precise time needed.
