Job Summary:
The Senior Estimating Engineer will prepare detailed cost estimates, conduct cost analysis, and collaborate with various disciplines to ensure precise project execution. As a Lead Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing estimation methods and procedures.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of unit rates.
  • Reviewing contractor estimates.
  • Producing reports as needed.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review service and capital cost estimates.
  • Establish pricing structures and participate in value engineering.
  • Support the development of estimating standards.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with 10 years of relevant professional experience in project controls and estimating.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
In-depth understanding of estimating processes, strong analytical skills, proficiency with Microsoft and scheduling software applications, and excellent communication abilities are essential for this role.

  • Transform the Tender Estimate into Project First Budget.
  • Ensure proper allocation of costs to relevant Cost Centres.
  • Prepare budgets and current estimates.
  • Estimate new rates, price variations, and assess claims’ cost impact.
  • Monitor project actual costs and analyze cost variances.
  • Prepare cost reports and provide necessary information.
  • Maintain records of actual cost elements for Project Close-Out Report.
  • Liaise with project sections on cost allocation and control matters.
  • Participate in preparing the Project Close-Out Report and Lessons Learnt.

Requirements:
  • University degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Average of 5 years working experience in Cost Control/Cost Estimation with EPC/Heavy Industrial construction company.
  • Experience in Tunnels projects in KSA is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
