Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging physical education lessons that align with the IB framework, promoting inquiry-based learning and the development of motor skills.
• Instruction: Teach physical education classes to students in the assigned grades using various instructional strategies and resources to address diverse learning needs.
• Assessment: Assess student progress and performance through various methods, including observations, skill assessments, and self-reflection, while providing constructive feedback to support growth.
• Promote Physical Activity: Encourage lifelong fitness and healthy lifestyle choices through participation in a variety of sports, games, and physical activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education with the overall IB curriculum, fostering interdisciplinary learning.
• Student Development: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional development of all students, promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in physical education and IB teaching methodologies.

Position Overview:
The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for implementing an effective physical education curriculum that encourages students to develop their physical skills and adopt healthy lifestyle habits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a commitment to child safety and protection.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum objectives.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of students of varying abilities.
• Create a safe and encouraging learning environment.
• Design innovative games and activities to enhance student participation.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the High School Assistant Principal.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Physical fitness and a passion for health and sports.

Experience and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience as a PE Teacher.
• Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of various exercise types.
