This role is essential for the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas production facilities. The technician will be responsible for maintaining wellhead control systems, instrumentation, and hydraulic components, ensuring compliance with industry safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain process control instruments, including pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters/switches.
  • Perform loop checks, signal testing, and verification of field instruments.
  • Install, maintain, and repair wellhead electrical components, such as motors, actuators, and power distribution panels.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults within wellhead control panels, motorized actuators, and power circuits.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
  • Repair and troubleshoot wellhead hydraulic control systems, including High-Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS), Surface Safety Valves (SSVs), and Subsurface Safety Valves (SSSVs).
  • Diagnose and resolve hydraulic failures, leaks, and pressure-related issues.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic power units (HPUs) and emergency shutdown (ESD) systems for wellheads.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma in Instrumentation or Bachelor's degree in Electronics (DAE Instrumentation/BS Electronics).
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of industrial experience.
  • Proven industrial experience coupled with familiarity with industrial safety standards is essential.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas and petrochemical sectors will be highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia, possession of a transferable Iqama, and a valid driving license are preferred.
  • Ability to understand and speak English clearly.
