About the Role
Saipem, a global leader in engineering and construction for the energy and infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Procurement QC Supervisor to join its Inspection Team within the POSE department. This role is integral to ensuring that all procured materials meet stringent quality requirements, in compliance with corporate policies and procedures, thereby fulfilling both Contractor's and Client's Quality Control expectations during the procurement phase. This position contributes to Saipem's mission of engineering a sustainable future and enabling the energy transition toward Net Zero.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the Project Procurement QA/QC Scope of Work, Aramco Schedule Q, and Project Specifications.
- Provide support to various engineering disciplines regarding supplier inspections and tests during procurement.
- Review Material Requisitions to confirm adherence to all quality requirements.
- Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Coordinate with vendors, Engineering, and NDT Level III for the submission and approval of relevant procedures (NMR).
- Prepare and submit Inspection Assignment Packages (IAPs).
- Organize and conduct pre-inspection meetings.
- Monitor and ensure adequate inspection coverage, coordinating effectively with vendors and the client.
- Liaise with third-party inspection agencies.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Punch Lists.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Procurement QC Supervisor within the Oil & Gas field/industry.
- Comprehensive command of the English language.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis.
- Knowledge of NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) Techniques and their application.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and SAP.
Work Environment and Location
This is a full-time position. The work location is Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, with the specific work location potentially being at Amaad Business Park, Dhahran, KSA.
