Role Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Saudi Aramco QC requirements and prior experience on Saudi Aramco projects. This role requires Aramco approval and involves supervising on-site quality control activities to ensure all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards. The QC Engineer will be an integral part of a team dedicated to excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all on-site quality control activities, ensuring strict compliance with Saudi Aramco's QC standards and project specifications.
• Oversee the thorough inspection and testing of all materials, equipment, and construction activities to ensure they meet project and industry quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive QC documentation, including detailed test reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Proactively identify and document non-conformances, implement effective corrective actions, and follow up to ensure their timely resolution.
• Conduct detailed inspections of materials and equipment sourced from vendors and suppliers to guarantee compliance with all project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to address quality issues and implement solutions.
• Assist in conducting internal and external quality audits, ensuring QC procedures and records comply with Saudi Aramco and relevant industry regulations.
• Supervise and mentor on-site QC staff, ensuring quality control activities are performed according to established project standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the project's overall quality performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, with a strong emphasis on EPC projects.
• Mandatory Aramco approval as a QC Engineer.
• Demonstrated familiarity with Saudi Aramco QC standards and procedures.
• Expertise in managing quality control processes and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Strong knowledge of inspection and testing procedures for EPC projects, covering materials, equipment, and construction activities.
• Proven ability to identify, document, and resolve non-conformances and quality issues effectively.
• Experience in maintaining detailed QC documentation and records, including inspection reports and NCRs.
• Certification in quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or equivalent, is preferred.

About the Role

Saipem, a global leader in engineering and construction for the energy and infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Procurement QC Supervisor to join its Inspection Team within the POSE department. This role is integral to ensuring that all procured materials meet stringent quality requirements, in compliance with corporate policies and procedures, thereby fulfilling both Contractor's and Client's Quality Control expectations during the procurement phase. This position contributes to Saipem's mission of engineering a sustainable future and enabling the energy transition toward Net Zero.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the Project Procurement QA/QC Scope of Work, Aramco Schedule Q, and Project Specifications.
• Provide support to various engineering disciplines regarding supplier inspections and tests during procurement.
• Review Material Requisitions to confirm adherence to all quality requirements.
• Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
• Coordinate with vendors, Engineering, and NDT Level III for the submission and approval of relevant procedures (NMR).
• Prepare and submit Inspection Assignment Packages (IAPs).
• Organize and conduct pre-inspection meetings.
• Monitor and ensure adequate inspection coverage, coordinating effectively with vendors and the client.
• Liaise with third-party inspection agencies.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Punch Lists.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Procurement QC Supervisor within the Oil & Gas field/industry.
• Comprehensive command of the English language.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis.
• Knowledge of NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) Techniques and their application.
• Strong IT skills, including MS Office and SAP.
