As the OBU Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of On-Board Units (OBUs) installed in EMD freight locomotives.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the availability and reliability of the OBU system.
- Deliver preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose and address critical issues proactively.
- Supervise installation work and coordinate activities of subcontractors or colleagues.
- Provide technical advice to minimize delays during service incidents.
- Support and mentor customer engineers in their maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements:We value passion and attitude more than extensive experience. The following qualifications will help you succeed:
- Engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in relevant fields.
- Understanding of communication ports, such as RS232, and office tools.
- Knowledge of railway equipment and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
