Position OverviewThe Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and student-centered lessons, maintaining student records, and supporting the academic growth of high school students, including those in AP and IBDP programs.
Responsibilities:- Demonstrate a commitment to child safety and protection.
- Plan and deliver lessons that align with the curriculum goals.
- Create a hands-on learning experience for students.
- Maintain accurate attendance and grading records.
- Evaluate student performance and facilitate classroom discussions.
- Assist students needing extra help outside of class.
- Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues.
- Provide supervision for after-school activities or athletic coaching.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Teaching certification is a must.
- Experience teaching Social Studies at the high school level, ideally including AP and/or IBDP courses.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to handle diverse classroom situations with maturity and confidentiality.
