Job Purpose / Objective:
Establish nutritional plans, review menus, and apply diet therapy served for patients following Clinical Dietitians' assessments.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Provide patients with nutrition services and ensure satisfaction.
• Conduct daily patient rounds to assess food allergies and preferences.
• Observe the tray line on a daily basis.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Nutrition department to develop menus for specific diets.
• Create and update meal plans based on therapeutic diet requirements.
• Prepare weekly reports on food service quality for the chief clinical nutrition.
• Implement the diet plan for each patient.
• Distribute surveys on dietary service satisfaction and compile monthly results.
• Participate in patient-centered care initiatives.
• Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Human Nutrition.
• Preferably two (2) years’ experience in planning regular and therapeutic diets in an accredited hospital.
• Relevant Certifications and a Saudi Council License.

Job Purpose / Objective:
Provide specialist nutritional care to In-Patients through the process of assessment, planning, implementation, education, counseling, or monitoring under the direction and supervision of the Head/Chief Clinical Nutrition. Assist and participate in the development of protocols and educational materials related to Clinical Nutrition. Scientifically plan and calculate all therapeutic diets for in/out patients.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Perform nutritional assessments and reassessments of patients as needed.
• Plan, prepare, and serve therapeutic diets as per the standards.
• Develop Nutritional Care Plans.
• Highlight “Food - Drug interactions” to physicians and document this in the medical record.
• Make recommendations related to patient dietary needs.
• Nil Per OS (NPO) monitoring.
• Educate other health staff, patients, and families.
• Approve all menus including any modified diets.
• Submit reports to the Chief Clinical Nutrition providing recommendations for better services.
• Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Review and update the diet manual.
• Support the education program and promote patient and family rights along with providing patient and family education.
• Inspect food service department and ensure regular and modified/therapeutic diets are being accurately served and CBAHI and HACCP standards are followed by food service employees as per policies and procedures.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Requirements:
Education/Professional Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition or Nutrition and Dietetics.

Experience:
Two (2) years’ experience in planning regular and therapeutic diets in an accredited hospital of 200 beds or more.
