Key Responsibilities

  • Implement an integrated risk management strategy, including plans, processes, and procedures, aligned with international best practices.

  • Facilitate risk and opportunity workshops for projects.

  • In lieu of a degree, 20+ years of related work experience is required.

The CSA Design Engineer will be responsible for conducting field investigations, client interviews, and leading the design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil and structural components and processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct independent scopes of work and technical specifications for Civil/Structural design and field investigations on large-sized projects or assignments in support of a global business unit.
  • Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of Civil/Structural components and processes, utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
  • Review and approve key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, change orders, and bid summaries for the assigned project.
  • Design structures using advanced knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering.
  • Determine the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure the correct material is used based on load or stress requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

This role requires a bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) combined with 13-15 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, candidates with 17-19 years of relevant work experience will be considered.
