About the Role
Rezayat Industrial Cluster, through its member Saudi Arabian Engineering Company Ltd. (SAECO), announces the need to hire a qualified Welding Inspector to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SAECO is a prominent engineering partner in the Kingdom, known for providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions in the power generation, oil and gas, utilities, and petrochemical sectors. As one of the largest and most efficient repair and service centers in Saudi Arabia, SAECO specializes in providing integrated workshop and field services for a wide range of equipment. This full-time position is essential to ensure the safety and quality of welding operations, contributing to the company's distinguished reputation in complex industrial projects.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive welding inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Verify the correct application of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and welder qualifications.
- Monitor and evaluate various welding processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform or supervise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods as required, including Visual Testing (VT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT).
- Ensure all welding activities adhere to international codes and standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and ISO.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, findings, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project teams to address any welding-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Valid CSWIP certification or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) qualification. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience specifically in welding inspection and quality control activities.
- Demonstrated good knowledge of welding processes, WPS, PQRs, and welder qualifications.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards including ASME, API, AWS, and ISO is essential.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT is preferred.
