Role Purpose
To perform all planned QC/Inspection activities for workshop jobs and prepare necessary QC reports. To perform in-house calibration of measuring/testing instruments at planned intervals.

Job Accountabilities & Activities
  • Coordinate with workshop Foremen and carry out necessary inspection/QC checks of workshop job orders and prepare necessary stage inspection reports.
  • Witness pressure tests carried out by the production supervisors for the workshop jobs.
  • Be responsible for the final inspection and release of workshop job orders after ensuring all QC activities are completed as per the Documentation & Final Inspection check sheet.
  • Perform in-house calibration of linear measuring instruments and calibration of in-house pressure gauges.
  • Be responsible to keep the calibration status current and maintain the physical calibration status control tags on the instruments.
  • Notify QC Manager of the calibration status of measuring or testing instruments to be calibrated externally and keep current as per planned frequencies.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for the discrepant items at each stage of inspection and follow up with QC Manager for their close out.
  • Perform all necessary activities to achieve Quality objectives set for the QA/QC Dept.
  • Preparation of QC reports for completed job orders.
  • Current Calibration status maintained for in-house measuring/testing instruments.
