Position SummaryThe Structural Steel Fabrication & Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all fabrication facility activities related to structural steel production. This includes ensuring safe execution, quality compliance, productivity achievement, and timely delivery of fabricated materials in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily structural steel fabrication and facility production activities.
- Monitor fabrication progress, productivity, manpower allocation, and material flow.
- Coordinate fabrication works, including cutting, fit-up, assembly, welding, grinding, drilling, and finishing activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved fabrication drawings, WPS, ITPs, and quality requirements.
- Supervise the operation of fabrication equipment, including CNC cutting machines, drilling machines, rolling machines, band saws, and other workshop machinery.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Welding Inspectors, and Production Engineers to maintain required quality standards.
- Monitor welding activities and ensure proper consumables, traceability, and workmanship.
- Prepare daily production reports and update workshop progress status.
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams regarding equipment performance and breakdowns.
- Support production planning, scheduling, and delivery targets.
- Optimise workshop productivity and minimise fabrication delays and rework.
- Maintain housekeeping and proper workshop organisation standards.
- Supervise fabrication manpower, including fabricators, welders, fitters, riggers, helpers, and machine operators.
