About the Business Development Executive Role
Gartner is seeking a Business Development Executive to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on strategically expanding Gartner's client base by cultivating relationships with C-level executives to identify and address their mission-critical priorities. The Business Development Executive will manage the complete sales cycle, from prospect identification through to closing new accounts and transitioning them to the account management team.
Role Responsibilities
The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving new business opportunities within a designated territory of Large Enterprise prospects, which may include organizations new to Gartner or those with existing relationships in other Gartner areas. Clients in this segment have annual revenues up to $1 billion. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with Large Enterprise C-level stakeholders, managing the full sales process from initial outreach to closing.
- Converting qualified prospects into active Gartner clients by owning the sales conversation, negotiation, and subsequent transition to the account management team.
- Aligning Gartner's insights, guidance, and tools to deliver value to client partnerships.
- Continuously building a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to meet sales metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Meeting quota responsibilities for the assigned territory.
- Managing complex, high-revenue sales within matrixed and diverse business environments.
- Owning forecasting and account planning on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments.
- Experience in business development or new client acquisition in a selling capacity is highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- The ability to precisely manage and forecast a complex sales process.
- A willingness to travel as required.
- A Bachelor’s degree is desired.
