Role Responsibilities
The Senior Medical Sales Representative – R&I plays a pivotal role in positively influencing prescriber behavior to achieve sales targets. This role involves developing the assigned territory, building strong customer relationships, and maximizing sales volume and market share for designated products, in full compliance with AstraZeneca's Code of Conduct.
- Engage with primary healthcare professionals to discuss approved indications, efficacy, and safety of products to support appropriate patient prescribing.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop a local strategy and action plan to achieve or exceed sales targets and execute calls within the assigned territory.
- Lead sales performance and ensure sales expectations and budgets for therapeutic areas and territory are met or exceeded.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the market and demographics, and manage market information relevant to the assigned sales territory.
- Comply with all regulations related to engaging with healthcare professionals, sample distribution, and other relevant activities.
- Ensure excellent medical knowledge and promotional skills related to the assigned disease area and product portfolio.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be a Saudi national.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or any similar medical field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
- Proficiency in English.
- Comprehensive understanding of the commercial drug market and strong business intelligence.
- Exceptional selling and influencing skills.
- Planning and organizational skills.

- Strong work ethic and cross-functional teamwork abilities.
- Business communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Preferred: Good knowledge of account management, including relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.

This is a full-time role and requires presence in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
