We are expanding our operations and are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer to establish and maintain an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) that ensures the highest safety standards in line with our commitment to a zero-accident culture.
Job PurposeThe Safety Officer will play a pivotal role in implementing and improving OHSMS, ensuring compliance with SDEC and client safety management requirements.
Main Responsibilities- Assist the QA/QC Country Manager in developing and implementing the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Conduct training sessions to educate staff on OHSMS 45001 standards and SDEC SOPs.
- Ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory safety requirements.
- Perform job and risk hazard analyses, and conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Prepare timely safety reports, incident investigations, and compliance reports.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture within the organization.
Qualifications and Relevant CertificationsA diploma or higher in a relevant field, along with safety management certifications such as OSHA, IOSH, NVQ, or NEBOSH is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe seek candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing safety systems, and proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Join us at SDEC and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence!
