Tasks and Responsibilities:- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers of food products and kitchen supplies to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Market Research: Conduct regular market research to ensure competitive pricing and availability of essential ingredients, adjusting purchasing strategies as needed.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with vendors to achieve optimal value while maintaining product quality.
- Timely Purchases: Ensure timely purchasing and delivery of goods to meet kitchen production schedules.
- Inventory Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the warehouse and kitchen team to prevent stock shortages or excess.
- Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work closely with chefs to understand product requirements and maintain high-quality standards.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with current suppliers and develop new supplier networks.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all purchased items meet health regulations and hygiene standards.
- Department Requests: Manage and fulfill purchase requests from various departments quickly and efficiently.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-9 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food and catering industry.
- Strong knowledge of food products, perishables, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
