About the Role

Labora Partners is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer for a client in the Middle East. The client is an international technical consulting and engineering company with over a decade of experience in the power and energy sector across the Gulf region. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and verify the instrumentation and control construction and commissioning activities for high voltage substations as performed by the EPC Contractor.
• Ensure all I&C works comply with contractual requirements, technical specifications, approved drawings, and project schedules.
• Verify the accuracy, methodology, quality control, and timely execution of all on-site I&C works.
• Supervise and verify the instrumentation and control scope within multinational and multidisciplinary substation construction and commissioning projects.

• Oversee the installation and configuration of protection, automation, and control (SAS – Substation Automation Systems).
• Verify SCADA/RTU and HMI systems, ensuring compliance with IEC 61850-based architectures.
• Oversee the installation and verification of protection relays and metering equipment.
• Ensure proper installation and verification of field instrumentation and cabling.
• Supervise and verify signal loop checks.

Qualifications and Requirements
