As an Accounting Manager, you'll have the opportunity to oversee crucial accounting functions, guide a talented team, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will also act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in accounting and compliance, providing strategic insights and guidance.
You Will- Coordinate and execute the month-end close process for three entities (USA, UK, Latvia), preparing timely and accurate consolidated and standalone financial statements.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including US GAAP standards (ASC 34040, ASC 606, ASC 718 and others).
- Coordinate audit activities and liaise with external auditors and advisors to ensure successful completion and compliance.
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain financial systems and software to enhance reporting and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and develop a small team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Complete ad-hoc projects.
You Must Have- At least 7 years of progressive experience in full close-cycle accounting; preferably at a rapidly scaling tech SaaS business, with a minimum of 2 years in leadership roles.
- Possesses professional certifications such as CPA, CGMA, ACCA, ACAF, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP and/or IFRS), and regulatory requirements, including revenue recognition for subscription revenue streams.
- Advanced Excel skills and a working knowledge of accounting software, *, Rillet, Netsuite, SAP or similar.
- Proven track record of leading major financial projects, such as system implementations or process automation.
- Familiarity with SaaS-specific metrics (*, MRR, ARR, CAC, churn, etc.).
- A demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with sales, operations, product, and executive teams.
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
