HMG is looking for a qualified CSSD Technician to ensure the safety and quality of sterilized medical instruments.

Job Purpose / Objective
Responsible for routine and basic technical tasks in the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) with strict adherence to JCIA/ CBAHI standards, including documentation, sterilization, packaging, storage, and distribution of sterile items, as well as receiving all contaminated used items from assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Receive all used contaminated items from different assigned areas.
  • Decontaminate the received items manually and mechanically using ultrasonic cleaners/automated cart washers.
  • Label prepared packages using proper labeling techniques.
  • Load and unload sterilizers properly while adhering to infection control requirements by using PPE.
  • Assemble and pack instrument sets using appropriate materials and techniques.
  • Store sterilized sets/items properly until needed.
  • Conduct daily testing of sterilizers, including warm-up cycles and leak tests.
  • Participate in education and training sessions for new staff and act as CSSD Supervisor during their absence.
  • Transport and deliver sterile packages to the units in a proper manner.

Requirements
  • Education: Diploma or equivalent in Sterilization.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar specialty.
  • Certification: Saudi Council License required.
  • Skills: Infection control and equipment management.
