Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in site activities, including installation testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Hitachi HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other assigned equipment at customer sites.
  • Contribute to PGHV projects and collaborate with project teams as required.
  • Coordinate with the tools management department to ensure proper handling and utilization of HV tools and test equipment for site activities related to HV Products installation, testing, commissioning, and protection and control.
  • Perform GIS Bay or GIS compartment assembly, including minor fabrications, and troubleshoot and rectify defects in HV products at customer sites.
  • Advise on action plans for repairs requiring execution in a Hitachi Energy factory or workshop, and provide support for PGHV Service activities on-site and at customer workplaces.
  • Learn and proficiently operate test equipment used for HV product testing, commissioning, and maintenance, mastering the procedures for using special tools for HV products service jobs.
  • Share knowledge and train fellow engineers and technicians on learned skills and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Project Management teams, ensuring full compliance with project management requirements and adhering to site regulations.
  • Lead contractors or subcontractors during job execution and coordinate with customers and back-office support for necessary resources.
  • Obtain Provisional Acceptance Certificates (PAC) or signed time sheets from customers upon task completion for invoicing.
  • Prepare and submit site reports, activity plans, and resource requirements to the Project Manager, line manager, or supervisor.
  • Prepare Method of Statements as required, which may be shared with customers based on contractual obligations.
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations, exhibiting good behavior on-site and promptly reporting safety or integrity incidents.
  • Implement Hitachi Energy's core values, demonstrating a commitment to safety and integrity in daily activities.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Prepare travel authorizations prior to commencing any travel for site visits or deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
