Your key duties
  • Translate a variety of documents - such as technical reports, contracts, drawings, manuals, and specifications - between Arabic and English, ensuring accuracy and tone are preserved.
  • Review and proofread translated materials to eliminate grammatical, linguistic, and typographical errors.
  • Interpret complex technical terminology clearly and accurately in both languages.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify terminology and context.
  • Support internal and external communications by ensuring alignment with Buro Happold’s standards and messaging.
  • Maintain and update terminology databases and translation memory tools.
  • Work efficiently across multiple deadlines and content types, from legal and technical to commercial and academic.

Your Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in technical translation, ideally within the consulting or engineering sectors.
  • Full professional fluency in Arabic and English, with a deep understanding of cultural and linguistic nuances.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, translation software, and document management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a Saudi national.
