Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:
    • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Saudi tax laws, VAT, Zakat, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and prepare management reports.
    • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth audits and compliance.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions.
    • Analyse financial performance, variances, and trends to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
    • Assist in formulating the company's financial strategy and risk management policies.
  • Accounting Operations & Controls:
    • Oversee daily accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
    • Maintain and enhance internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
    • Optimize cash flow management, working capital, and cost control initiatives.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance and training to junior accountants to enhance their financial knowledge and capabilities.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or SOCPA are preferred.
  • Minimum 1015 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia at a construction company is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Saudi GAAP, Zakat, VAT, and other local regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft D365).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and reporting tools.

Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
