Job Summary
The Captain Waiter at Beit Ward Restaurant is responsible for supervising the service team and ensuring a distinctive dining experience for customers. They ensure coordination among the team members, precise and efficient order execution, and immediate problem-solving to guarantee customer satisfaction and enhance the restaurant's reputation as an ideal destination for Lebanese hospitality.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Leading the Service Team
- Guiding and monitoring the waiters' performance to ensure service is delivered to the highest standards.
- Distributing daily tasks among the service team and coordinating their roles during peak times.
- Training new employees on work procedures and Lebanese hospitality methods.
- Supervising Customer Experience
- Welcoming customers and ensuring their needs are met in a distinctive and effective manner.
- Monitoring order implementation from the kitchen to the table to ensure its quality and accuracy.
- Handling customer complaints professionally and quickly to ensure their complete satisfaction.
- Coordinating with Other Departments
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure orders are delivered with quality and speed.
- Coordinating with management to implement operational policies and procedures.
- Monitoring daily schedules and task distribution in coordination with the restaurant supervisor.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Quality Standards
- Ensuring compliance with health standards and food safety at all service stages.
- Monitoring the cleanliness of tables and utensils used and ensuring food is served in a clean environment.
- Conducting inspections within the dining hall to ensure smooth operations.
- Managing Daily Operations
- Monitoring the inventory of tools and supplies related to service, such as napkins and plates.
- Preparing daily reports for management that include team performance and customer satisfaction levels.
- Contributing to improving operational processes by suggesting solutions and developmental ideas.
Requirements
- Work Experience
- A minimum of two years of practical experience in customer service or in a similar role in the hospitality sector.
- Experience dealing with Lebanese restaurants or an Eastern hospitality environment is preferred.
