Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate supports the warehouse operations by assisting with checking & preparing the material for production as per requirements, material handling, issuing purchase requests for low-stock items, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. They play a vital role in ensuring smooth workflow, accurate inventory records, and efficient order fulfillment.

Responsibilities
  • Material Handling:
    • Loading and unloading of materials, ensuring accuracy and proper handling to prevent damage.
    • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, following safety guidelines and best practices.
    • Move materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Receiving and inspecting incoming materials, and verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders or specifications.
    • Accurately record and label received materials, ensuring proper storage and identification.
    • Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
    • Issue purchase requests for material that is running low on low stock levels.
  • Warehouse Organization:
    • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment by adhering to housekeeping standards.
    • Organize and arrange materials and products in designated storage locations.
    • Collaborate with other team members to optimize space utilization within the warehouse.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Checking for material availability as per production plan 6+ days in advance.
    • Preparing material as per the production plan a day prior to requirement by the factory.
    • Coordinate with the production team to ensure requirements are updated.
    • Loading of finished goods on time for dispatch with proper procedures and QC checks.
    • Ensuring proper labelling and documentation at all times.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as packaging team, production, logistics, etc., to ensure timely order fulfilment.

Required skills and qualifications
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Intermediate English knowledge (Read & Write).
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management software.
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory management and recordkeeping (WMS / Microsoft Excel).
  • Experience in using inventory tracking tools.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks such as counting and labelling.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of stainless-steel materials, storage and handling requirements is a plus.
