The Recruitment Officer will work closely with the recruitment team, contributing to various stages of the hiring process and ensuring a positive experience for candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing and attracting candidates through various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media platforms, and other relevant avenues.
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates who meet specific job requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in recruitment databases and tracking systems.
  • Support the broader recruitment team throughout the hiring process to ensure a smooth workflow.

Qualifications and Requirements

About the Role

DAR ENGINEERING is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector (PMC) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for on-site supervision, inspection, and quality assurance for all electrical works related to TSE pipelines and reservoir facilities. The Electrical Inspector will act as the client's representative, ensuring that all electrical installations, including substations, switchgear, transformers, motor control centres (MCCs), pumps, cabling, lighting, and earthing systems, are executed in strict accordance with approved designs, project specifications, NWC/EXPRO standards, Saudi regulations, and international electrical codes. The role's primary purpose is to supervise electrical works, verify quality and compliance, ensure safety and reliability of electrical systems, support multidisciplinary coordination, identify and report risks, and facilitate the successful testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent field supervision capabilities, effective collaboration skills, and a commitment to integrity, quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily electrical construction activities, including substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, pump motors, cabling, lighting, and earthing systems, ensuring adherence to approved IFC drawings, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Verify that electrical installations, terminations, cable laying, and panel assembly comply with approved installation practices and electrical safety procedures.
  • Inspect and confirm that all materials and equipment delivered to site match approved vendor lists and technical submittals.
  • Ensure compliance of all electrical works with IEC, IEEE, Saudi Electrical Codes, NWC/EXPRO standards, and specific project requirements.
  • Enforce electrical safety procedures on site, including lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), grounding/earthing, confined space entry, and energisation protocols.
  • Report unsafe conditions and support the HSE team in conducting electrical hazard assessments, promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance in delivering electrical works according to schedule and specifications.
  • Witness key electrical activities such as cable testing, insulation resistance checks, transformer installation, and switchgear energisation.
  • Verify prompt implementation of corrective actions for all identified non-conformances and deviations.
  • Collaborate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation & control (I&C), SCADA, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure integrated execution of electrical works.
  • Assist in resolving cross-discipline interface issues, including tie-ins and sequencing conflicts.
  • Participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings with contractors and PMC teams.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection reports, and photographic evidence of electrical works.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and site observations, and follow up on issue closure.
  • Contribute updates on electrical progress, risks, and compliance status to project reports.
  • Witness and validate pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, including megger tests, high-voltage tests, continuity checks, and functional testing of MCCs and control panels.
  • Support verification of system readiness for energisation and integration with SCADA and I&C systems.
  • Review as-built documentation and assist in preparing handover dossiers for client acceptance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection and construction supervision.
  • At least 8-12 years of general experience in electrical inspection and construction supervision.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in infrastructure, water, wastewater, or reservoir facility projects.
  • Proven experience with substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, pump motor installations, cabling systems, lighting, and earthing systems.
  • Hands-on involvement in the electrical testing, commissioning, and energisation of medium- and low-voltage systems.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with SCADA and I&C teams on system integration.
  • Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is desirable, particularly with government or utility clients such as NWC or EXPRO.
  • Familiarity with local utility approvals, inspection processes, and handover procedures in Saudi Arabia.
  • Additional training in electrical inspection, testing, and safety management is advantageous.
  • Certification in electrical safety (*, NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEBOSH) or quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 45001) is preferred.
