Operational Accountant – Jumanji

🎯 Job Overview:
We at Jumanji are looking for a professional and organized accountant who will be fully responsible for the financial and operational management of the store, and who has a thorough understanding of restaurant and café accounting, inventory, costs, and accounting systems.

The required person must be very precise, have a strong control sense, and know how to organize financial chaos and convert operations into clear numbers and reports that assist management in decision-making.

🧾 Job Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounts of the store
• Enter and organize all financial transactions in the accounting system
• Monitor sales, purchases, and expenses
• Prepare periodic financial and operational reports
• Conduct periodic inventory and match stock
• Monitor costs and analyze waste and profitability
• Submit VAT and zakat files
• Prepare and submit payroll protection files
• Monitor salaries and entitlements
• Organize invoices, receipts, and financial files
• Prepare profit and loss statements and cash flow reports
• Coordinate with management and the legal accountant when needed
• Assist in building a professional financial and operational system within the company

✅ Requirements:
• Previous experience in accounting (in restaurants or cafés)
• Excellent experience using accounting systems
• Full knowledge of zakat, tax, and payroll
• Experience in inventory, costs, and stock
• Proficient in Excel and financial reports
• Organized, precise personality who is responsible
• Prior operational experience is preferred, not just bookkeeping

First: Job Objective

Manage order and payment operations efficiently and accurately, ensuring a smooth and fast ordering experience for restaurant customers, in line with the service and quality standards adopted by the company.

Second: Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Receive customer orders inside the restaurant or through takeout.
2. Enter orders accurately through the point of sale system.
3. Collect cash and electronic payments and deliver the invoice.
4. Ensure the order's accuracy before delivering it to the customer.
5. Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure the speed and quality of order execution.
6. Effective communication with the work team and direct manager.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and ensure the availability of necessary tools.
8. Match cash and sales reports at the end of the shift.
9. Report any financial discrepancies or operational notes to management.
10. Professionally handle customer complaints and escalate them when necessary.
11. Full knowledge of product components and the ability to explain them to customers.

Fifth: Working Hours and Location

• Working Hours: According to the approved shift system, with acceptance of shift variations per the contract.
• Work Location: Inside the restaurant or the pickup area.

Sixth: Operational Procedures

If the employee is assigned a task outside their expertise:

Perform the task if it does not affect the core responsibilities, with notification to the direct manager if it conflicts with job responsibilities.

In case of discovering an error in the financial custody:

Notify the direct manager immediately, review reports, and do not act individually with the amount except according to the approved procedure.

If the work pressure exceeds capacity:

Request support, organize priorities, maintain calmness, and avoid haste that causes operational errors.

In case of customer order delay:

1. Apologize to the customer professionally.
2. Explain the reason for the delay.
3. Follow up on the order with the kitchen immediately.
4. Notify the manager when the allowed time is exceeded.
5. Follow up on the order until delivery.

• General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate records, prepare journal entries, and perform financial close activities.
• Project Finance: Manage project cost centres, analyze profitability, and prepare billing schedules.
• Banking & Treasury Relations: Act as the main contact for banking partners and oversee account reconciliations.
• Accounts Receivable & Collections: Manage the accounts receivable ledger and maintain productive client relationships.
• Systems, Reporting & Compliance: Utilize accounting platforms to enhance reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting or group accounting.
• Preferred certifications: CPA, ACCA, CMA.
