This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and maintaining inventory accuracy to support production and timely customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations & Inventory:
    • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of cable drums, raw materials, and accessories.
    • Ensure correct handling of cable drums and coils to avoid damage and meet safety standards.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records through ERP/WMS systems and conduct regular stock counts.
    • Plan warehouse layout and optimize storage capacity for heavy drums and bulk cable reels.
    • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align stock levels with demand.
  • People Management:
    • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff (storekeepers, forklift operators, helpers).
    • Ensure staff follow company safety rules and standard operating procedures.
    • Assign workloads, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement practices.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Enforce safety regulations for handling heavy drums, forklifts, and lifting equipment.
    • Monitor housekeeping, fire safety, and compliance with ISO / QHSE standards.
    • Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and securing of cable reels in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Reporting & Controls:
    • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on stock, movements, and warehouse KPIs.
    • Track slow-moving and obsolete materials and coordinate with management for disposal or reallocation.
    • Develop and monitor warehouse performance metrics (accuracy, space utilization, on-time delivery).
