About the Role:As a 3D Animator at Steer Studios, you will collaborate with a talented team to deliver high-quality animations that enhance the gaming experience. Your creativity and technical expertise will support the game design and bring our narratives to life through engaging animations.
Key Responsibilities:- Understand game features and ideate meaningful animations that support game design and user experience.
- Communicate feature flow and storytelling through visuals and captivating animations.
- Adapt to various animation styles (Cartoon, Snappy, etc.) as required.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of animation principles, rigging, and optimization.
- Demonstrate proficiency in 3D animation software (*, Maya, MotionBuilder, Unity 3D). Knowledge of 2D animation is a plus.
- Create and manage documentation related to animation and visual effects.
- Integrate animated assets into the game engine (Unity or Unreal).
- Apply principles such as timing, weight, and motion in your animations.
- Understand human and animal body mechanics for biped and quadruped animations.
- Proactively provide solutions during the animation process to enhance quality.
Qualifications:- Minimum 3 years of experience in game animations with 2-3 published titles as an animator.
- Experience working as a 3D animator for mobile or console games.
- Proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine for animation integration and bug resolution.
- Experience in optimizing animations for performance.
- Skilled in rigging, skinning, and visual effects in Maya, Max, or Unity.
- Good artistic skills for creating thumbnail sketches and storyboarding.
- Able to guide and supervise juniors effectively.
- Passionate about games, animation, and storytelling.
