Join Our Team as a High School Mathematics Teacher!We are seeking a dedicated and skilled High School Mathematics Teacher to join the American School Dhahran (ASD) team. This position will involve teaching a range of mathematics content from Algebra to Calculus to high school students. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our commitment to providing a safe and effective learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate a commitment to child safety and protection.
- Plan and deliver lessons per the documented curriculum goals.
- Facilitate interactive and student-centered math programs, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
- Maintain accurate attendance and grading records.
- Assess and grade student assignments and exams.
- Support students needing extra help outside of class.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage students in meaningful classroom discussions.
- Stay updated with advances in mathematics education by reading relevant literature and attending conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues on academic and administrative matters.
- Supervise students during after-school activities or athletic events.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
- Certification as a teacher.
Experience and Skills:- Experience teaching high school mathematics, preferably including AP courses.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics content and pedagogy.
- Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional classroom management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build strong relationships with students.
