Position Overview
At Ithra Design, we are seeking an experienced Draftsman / CAD Operator with strong technical drafting skills to support our interior and fit-out projects.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in translating design concepts into precise technical drawings that form the foundation for fabrication, production, and site installation. This position requires a solid understanding of architectural and interior design documentation, high attention to detail, and effective coordination with design, project management, site, and production teams to ensure accuracy, constructability, and smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drawing Review & Preparation
    • Review and study architectural and interior design drawings received from clients, consultants, or internal design teams.
    • Analyze drawings to identify relevant dimensions, materials, finishes, and technical requirements in line with approved design intent and project scope.
    • Prepare shop drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings in accordance with project standards, specifications, and timelines.
    • Develop clear and accurate plans, sections, elevations, and detailed joinery drawings for interior and fit-out works.
  • Coordination & Technical Analysis
    • Review the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and ensure full alignment with the signed contract scope of work.
    • Coordinate closely with project management, design, and site teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect site conditions and approved design decisions.
    • Verify site measurements and integrate as-built conditions into final fabrication and construction drawings.
    • Identify and resolve drawing conflicts in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Submittals
    • Maintain an up-to-date Drawing Log to track submissions, revisions, approvals, and issuance dates.
    • Prepare and submit shop drawings for client and consultant review, and implement required comments and revisions.
    • Ensure all drawing updates are properly documented, version-controlled, and issued in accordance with project procedures.
  • Fabrication & Production Support
    • Prepare approved fabrication drawings in both digital and printed formats for production and workshop use.
    • Coordinate with production and factory teams to clarify technical details, materials, tolerances, and construction methods.
    • Support production and site teams by responding to technical queries and issuing updated drawings when required.
    • Ensure all drawings comply with fabrication standards, material specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Quality Control & Compliance
    • Adhere to company quality control standards, safety procedures, and documentation protocols.
    • Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, well-organized, and properly archived for future reference.
    • Maintain consistency and accuracy across all issued drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Software Proficiency
  • AutoCAD – Advanced proficiency in 2D drafting and detailing.
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with additional software such as SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools is considered an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Draftsman / CAD Operator within interior design, fit-out, or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of joinery, woodwork, and interior detailing is highly preferred.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and technical attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
