As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the pastry kitchen, emphasizing quality and presentation within the guidelines of standardized menus and employee training.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise the pastry kitchen in the preparation and presentation of all food items.
- Monitor production standards to ensure the highest level of quality.
- Oversee all aspects of controlling the hotel’s food costs.
- Create high-quality and innovative pastry products.
- Participate in drafting concept ideas and menus for special events, encouraging employees to contribute ideas.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP standards and hygiene requirements as per Municipality regulations.
- Conduct consistent on-the-job training for culinary colleagues and promote health and safety.
Skills and Qualifications:You should have a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course, along with at least three years of experience in quality establishments and excellent pastry and bakery skills. The ability to communicate well in English and a proven track record in patisserie preparation, presentation, and preservation is essential.
