About the Role
Datadog is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Enterprise Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will provide technical expertise to prospective clients, guide them through product demonstrations, and support technical evaluations. You will collaborate with the sales team to articulate Datadog's value proposition, vision, and strategy, playing a key role in qualifying and closing opportunities. Additionally, you will relay customer, competitor, and partner feedback to the product team to influence the product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall Datadog value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
- Own the technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, communicating Datadog's value based on their activities and addressing any identified issues or concerns to a successful conclusion.
- Technically close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
- Deliver compelling product and technical briefings and presentations to potential clients.
- Maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer input, including both wins and losses.
- Proactively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog business/technical teams regarding product feedback and the competitive landscape.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
- The ability to sit for up to 4 hours and travel to and from client sites.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 45% of the time via auto, train, or air.

Required Skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate both business benefits and technical advantages.
- Experience in programming/scripting with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, ****, PHP, and .NET.
- Proficiency in Sales Engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with DevOps Engineering concepts and workflows.
- Passion for educating customers on observability risks and building effective evaluation plans.
Work Environment and Additional Information
This is a full-time position for an Enterprise Sales Engineer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.
