Meetings & Events Coordinator to develop our hotel's events business.
Job Purpose:The Events Coordinator will be responsible for analyzing market demographics, proposing solutions and strategies to drive events sales and revenue. You must be resourceful in promoting and pitching sales to potential clients while maintaining excellent customer relationships. All initiatives should aim to ensure the best return value for the hotel.
Primary Responsibilities:- Manage all incoming leads for guest room bookings and meeting/catering functions.
- Develop lead sources through prospecting, referrals, and cold calls.
- Conduct site inspections with clients and quote prices within established parameters.
- Manage events from start to finish, coordinating details such as lighting, audio-visual requirements, food and beverage guarantees.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
Team Management:Interview and select staff, monitor their appearance and professionalism, and develop training programs.
Qualifications:A diploma in Tourism/Hospitality Management or Events Management with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Proficient in English and MS Office applications.
