About the Role

SAP is seeking a highly experienced AI (Chief-) Product Expert for the Public Sector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial in driving the adoption and implementation of AI solutions within the Saudi Arabian public sector, leveraging SAP's innovative technology landscape. You will work directly with customers to identify high-impact AI use cases, design and build end-to-end solutions, and act as a key liaison between local customers and SAP's global product and engineering teams. This position is a full-time, permanent role based in Riyadh, within the Riyadh Region. You will be part of a growing AI and industry expert team dedicated to serving customers across KSA, building a collaborative, high-impact environment that combines deep AI expertise, strong industry knowledge, and regional understanding to help customers innovate and transform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Public Sector customers in KSA to discover, prioritize, and frame AI use cases on top of S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
  • Design and implement end-to-end AI solutions, including data pipelines from SAP, model selection and integration (SAP Business AI / BTP services), and UI/process integration.
  • Run agile cycles (PoC → pilot → production), gather user feedback, and drive adoption in real business processes.
  • Act as the "bridge" between Riyadh Lab customers and global SAP Product & Engineering, feeding requirements, gaps, and patterns into the roadmap.
  • Produce reusable accelerators such as reference architectures, templates, and best practices that can be scaled across KSA and the region.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Typically 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Solid grounding in data and AI/ML concepts, including data modeling, APIs, and common AI patterns such as forecasting, classification, and copilots/assistants.
  • End-to-end process knowledge of fundamental Public Sector processes, including Budget Planning, Budget Execution, Grants Management, or Funds Management.
  • Knowledge of the Public Sector market, its evolution, industry-specific challenges, and SAP’s industry portfolio.
  • Confidence in customer-facing and partner-facing work, including leading discovery workshops, delivering demos, handling challenging stakeholders, and explaining technical trade-offs in business language.
  • A software engineering background (*, Python/Java/TypeScript) with hands-on experience with SAP BTP, integrations, and at least one major SAP domain (finance, logistics, HR, public sector).
  • Prototyping skills with tools like Claude Code or FIGMA.
  • Fluent professional proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken, is a must.
  • Experience working with local customers and partners is a plus.
  • Comfortable operating in a "forward-deployed" role with high ownership, tolerance for ambiguity, and a collaborative approach with global teams, motivated by creating real, measurable impact for customers.

  • Ability to produce reusable accelerators, reference architectures, templates, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
